Stamped Concrete Patios | Nashville

The first thing that we want to mention here is that a stamped concrete finish is something that we essentially “add to” patios, as well as driveways, walkways or other surfaces that we create. We enjoy the possibility of creating custom patios through these finishes and that’s in large part why we’re combining this page. There are a couple of questions that we tend to get from clients or potential clients about the extent of these services. Therefore, we want to take this opportunity to be able to answer at least a couple of them right here.
Creating The Perfect Stamped Finish
This is something that we’re not just going to do without a proper plan in place and see how it all pans out. A lot of concrete companies are not accustomed to drawing up plans for the projects that they are involved in. This is not something that you’ll get with us. We’ll make sure to draw a mock-up version of the finished product with the mixtures of colors and stamps that you want to have placed on the surface. That way you know what to expect when we actually get to work.
Can You Stamp Existing Patios?
Yes, this is something that we are going to be able to do. That being said, the way that we are going to go about things is going to depend on the existing surface itself. Technically, to be able to stamp an existing surface what you need to do is layout a fresh layer of cement and stamp that new layer. What we don’t want to do is get that done on an aging and poorly looking surface. So sometimes we would suggest that the first thing that we need to do is repair the existing surface and then think about the finish.
Are The Stamps Unique?
They can be. A lot of people think that we have a catalog of stamps and that they are only going to be able to choose from the stamps that we have on file. That does not have to be the case at all. Give us a call and let us know if you’re looking to have a particular type of design embedded into your concrete surface. We’ll give you a rundown of the different options that we may have for you. If you have the design and you want us to replicate it let us know.
How Long Does The “Effect” Last?
There doesn’t have to be an expiration date on the stamped surface. Of course over the years some of the colors can begin to fade if you put an excessive amount of weight on the surface you can alter the stamp. For the most part, though, you can be good for about a decade or so. It could be a good idea to touch things up if you see that color is begging to fade. We can help you restore an existing stamped surface.
